I am currently a second year PhD student at the Doctoral School of the Department of Chemistry at the University of Gdansk. My scientific interests lie in the fields of organic chemistry and biochemistry. I am involved in the synthesis of peptides and peptide conjugates with antimicrobial activity, with a particular focus on antifungal agents.

I am a doctoral student in my 5th year at the Doctoral School at the Faculty of Biology, University of Gdańsk. I am doing my PhD project at the Department of taxonomy and nature conservation. My research usually focuses on using multiple methods simultaneously. The topic of my dissertation is the application of molecular, morphometric and micromorphological methods that will facilitate the identification of selected plant species of the genus Alchemilla L. (Rosaceae). Moreover, I am an artist, passionate about potted plants and horses.

I am a PhD student at the Doctoral School of the University of Gdańsk. My scientific interests focus on organic chemistry, particularly peptide chemistry. Currently, I am involved in the design, synthesis, and investigation of peptides with pro-regenerative properties that may have potential applications in the treatment of chronic wounds. In my research, I primarily use biochemical (ELISA, Western Blot) and spectroscopic methods (CD, NMR).

I am a first-year Master’s student in Chemistry, my specialization is Chemical Analytics and Diagnostics. I’m currently working on a project for my master’s thesis at the Department of Environmental Analysis. I am the chairman of the student government and, from this year, also a university senator. In my free time I like to play volleyball, ride a bike and work as a driving instructor.

I am a first-year Master’s student in Chemistry, my specialization is Chemical Analytics and Diagnostics. I’m currently working on a project for my master’s thesis at the Department of Molecular Biochemistry, in which I synthesize peptide-antibiotics conjugates for further research on their permeability through the blood-brain barrier, using PAMPA-BBB tests. I am the President of the Students’ Science Club for Chemistry. My escape from my duties related to studying is singing and putting together puzzles.

A PhD candidate at the Doctoral School of the Faculty of Chemistry, University of Gdańsk, conducting research in the Department of Biomedical Chemistry. His scientific interests include the chemical synthesis of peptides and peptidomimetics with potential applications in biological systems. He specializes in research on antimicrobial peptides, biomaterials, and their conjugates for therapeutic applications. He is actively involved in the academic community, serving as a member of the Doctoral Students’ Council and the Senate Committee of the University of Gdańsk.

Aleksandra Perzanowska
I am a first-year Master’s student in Chemistry, specializing in Biomedical Chemistry, at the University of Gdańsk. I am conducting my master’s research at the Department of Molecular Biochemistry. Additionally, I am an active member of the Scientific Chemistry Club and the Faculty of Chemistry Student Council. In my free time, I enjoy reading books, particularly those related to Harry Potter, solving puzzles, and taking walks along the seaside.

MSc Lidia Banaszczyk
PhD student specializing in plant physiology under environmental stress conditions. Research focuses on adaptive mechanisms and ex situ conservation of dune plants. Analyzes physiological and biochemical responses of plants to stress factors such as heavy metals, UV radiation, and salinity. Interested in climate change, its impact on ecosystems, and environmental conservation.

Third year PhD student at the Intercollegiate Biotechnology Doctoral School of University of Gdańsk and Medical University of Gdańsk. Specialised in studying metallic nanoparticles interactions with chemotherapeutic agents via physicochemical and biological methods. Member of the Doctoral Students Council of University of Gdańsk.

I am a second-year criminology student at the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Gdańsk. My main interest lies in forensic science, which combines various exact sciences. However, chemistry is my true passion and hobby. Outside of my academic life, I enjoy reading, solving crosswords, and putting puzzles together.

Dominika Kapuścińska
I hold a Master’s degree in Biotechnology and work in the Department of Plant Experimental Biology and Biotechnology. My research focuses on evaluating the phytotoxicity of selected non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) present in the aquatic environment, particularly their effects on planktonic green algae.

Natalia Wyźlic
I am a first-year PhD student. Since the beginning of my bachelor’s studies, I have been fascinated by the world of nanomaterials, therefore, in my research I focus on the synthesis and characterization of modern Janus nanoparticles that exhibit self-propelled motion in liquid media. In my research I use the analysis of optical properties by UV-Vis spectrophotometry and in-situ TEM to characterize the obtained structures.

Łucja Ptach-Styn
I am a 4th year PhD student preparing my thesis in the Department of Plant Taxonomy and Nature Conservation at the University of Gdańsk. My main focus is lichen holobiome, with special emphasis on mycobiome in lichen thalli. Based on the genus Ramalina, I am describing the mechanism of mycobiome and photobionts acquisition. I am mostly using molecular biology methods while also introducing a few methods of classical taxonomy into my work. I am also enormously passionate about francophone culture and heavy lifting, which helps me stay physically and mentally in good shape.

I am a passionate PhD student at the Intercollegiate Biotechnology Doctoral School, exploring how bacteria manage DNA replication—both chromosomal and plasmid—under stress conditions. My research delves into the intricate mechanisms that govern genetic stability, deepening our understanding of molecular biology, microbiology, and genetics. Beyond the lab, I find joy in the intricate worlds of gaming and puzzle-solving. On a more personal note, I cultivate a mini oasis at home, featuring a lush collection of green plants and an aquarium housing two delightful axolotls.

My name is Kacper, and I am a second-year Business Chemistry student at the University of Gdańsk. This is my first time participating in a conference and my debut as a member of the organizing committee. I have a keen interest in cosmetics, exploring their formulations, ingredients, and market trends. I look forward to gaining new experiences and expanding my knowledge in this dynamic field.

My name is Dominika and I study chemistry at the University of Gdańsk. I am working on my master’s thesis in the Department of Physical Chemistry, specifically in the Luminescence Research Laboratory. Besides that, I love hiking in the mountains and cooking.

I’m Aliks, and I’m currently in the first year of my bachelor’s studies. As of right now, I don’t conduct any scientific research, but I hope to do so in the future. In my free time, I enjoy reading and playing video games. Besides those, I also enjoy playing with my cat, Iskra.

Eng. Wiktor Czyżów
My name is Wiktor Czyżow. In 2024, I completed my Bachelor's degree in Chemical Business at the University of Gdańsk, where I focused on photocatalysts, particularly doped SrTiO3, at the Department of Environmental Technology. Currently, I am pursuing my Master;s degree in Digital Chemistry at the same university. My current research focuses on understanding the effects of doping TiO2 by using chemoinformatics, and I am conducting my Master's thesis at the Department of Environmental Chemistry and Radiochemistry. My interests include various forms of games—logic-based, board, and card games—as well as exploring the impact of science, particularly mathematics, on gameplay and game mechanics.

Kacper Poblocki is a PhD student at the Doctoral School at the Department of Chemistry, University of Gdansk. He works as the head of a grant funded by the Ministry of Education and Science. His research interests include inorganic chemistry, green chemistry, polymer chemistry and catalysis.

MSc. Edyta Raczuk
I completed my MSc studies in Biomedical Chemistry, working mainly on organic syntheses. Then I went on learning to cultivate bacteriophages and purify bacteria-expressed proteins as a Junior Researcher at University of Gdansk. It allowed me to prepare for the next step in my career – PhD in molecular biotechnology I’m currently pursuing. In my free time I love to dance, explore forests with my dog, grow orchids and learn new languages

Marcin Gontarek
I am a third-year student of Chemical Business at the University of Gdańsk. In my engineering thesis, I am conducting research on the oligomerization of coordination compounds. My scientific interests focus on modern technologies in chemistry and their application in preventing environmental degradation. In my free time, I am a folk dancer and trumpet player.

Anita Ćwiklińska
I am a third-year Chemical Business student at the Faculty of Chemistry at the University of Gdańsk. Since the beginning of my studies, I have been a member of the Chemical Business Scientific Student Club, and this academic year, I serve as its President of the Club. Science popularization and conveying knowledge in an accessible and exciting way have become my passion. I am conducting my engineering thesis at the Department of Environmental Analysis. Outside of university, I am interested in psychology and the broad concept of well-being.
