Assistant professor at the Department of Biochemistry and Microbiology, Institute of Biology, Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW).
Previous places of employment include: the Lipid Biochemistry Laboratory at the Institute of Biochemistry and Biophysics of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw; the Cell Biology Laboratory at the Institute of Experimental Botany of the Czech Academy of Sciences in Prague; and the Molecular Biology Laboratory at the International Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology in Warsaw.
In 2001, I graduated with a degree in Biology from the University of Warsaw, and in 2008, I defended my Ph.D. dissertation at the Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
Currently, I work in the field of plant biology, studying intracellular transport in the model plant Arabidopsis thaliana, focusing on the functioning of plant cells. I am also involved in more biochemistry-oriented projects concerning the biosynthetic pathways of isoprenoid lipids in plants. Additionally, I investigate the effects of disturbances in the synthesis of these compounds and intracellular transport on pollen and seed development.
I lecture on biochemistry at SGGW and conduct laboratory classes for students from various study programs in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, and Enzymology. I am also a thesis supervisor for students of the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology at SGGW, and previously, I supervised engineering and master’s theses of Biotechnology students at the Warsaw University of Technology.
